Basically I will have tiles there in the future but for now they don't do anything. So like if I wanted I could make one of those tiles a lava square and have the player die when it touches it. For my placeholder player graphic I chose Mudkip (FTW).

Lol yea. So on the placeholders I should just make them something cool?? Oh and also can they be animated or no?

If they are animated you will have to animate them in order so it will take up three tiles, and I'm not sure if this is asking to much but if you would like could you fix up the graphics already there too?

On a Red Green Blue color scale EXACTLY 255 red and 255 blue (In otherwords a really hot pink) is transparent

yes that is pure pink (in otherwords invisible)

Ur doing the walking sprite and im doing the tiles, since i can't do the sprite.

Okay, since I was forced onto a job I specifically said I would not do well, may I ask what the player is? So can fail less than I would otherwise?

finishing up the character animation (It just isn't working properly!)

Edit: Actually I'm not good at people so best bet for the player sprite is to use sprites from another game http://www.spriters-resource.com/ or have another person do that

I can't do people at all, so I think, unless the circumstances change, I'll just animate that sprite.
