First of all: to everyone who says 'oh on the news you see all the crime and sht and theres no pollution what ya talking about' You're wrong. The media doesn't give a crap about pollution because it's not as interesting, and there for don't mention it at all and the only time you do see it if it's big like BP or Chernobyl or something.
About crime killing more people: How do you know? Chernobyl killed over 5000 people in the initial month or something, and it barfed like tons of radiation in the air that spread in the wind and contaminated 13 countries (yeah I counted). We never hear about it on the news, so you can't tell how much damage it does. Pollution kills the environment and destroys so much, but it never gets acknowledged, so don't act like you know how much itkillsDESTROYS.
Shloke and his "you can't just tell people to stop committing crimes, but you can put a fine on companies-": No. Just... no. It's the same; you can't just put a fine on companies for their pollution and expect them to follow it. Besides. Pollution isn't just chemical waste, it's like a whole sht load of other stuff I really, really don't feel like listing right now.
Um... I don't remember the other arguments but I know ours were really weak too. Everyone's arguments were weak, and I really wanted to rebuttle but all the low-quality arguments were kind of overloading my brain and I just ended up getting really confused and angry. Also I know my expectations were really high... and I really need to get that stuff out of my system
