Wait why are the 3 and 4 reversed, and why is a & between 4 and 2?

Because the second square would be both 2 and 4 so the way it would work is it would do the first frame. Then the second frame. Then the third frame. and then it would go back to the second frame and use that for the 4th frame in the animated sprite. If you can't do that then just animate your own way.

Like the first frame is the person standing, frame two is the person stepping, the third the person stepping wider, and then it goes back to frame two? Sorry I've never animated a sprite before

Also I'm did that sht with my laptop <:3)~ pad, so if it's illegible sorry

and the reason it looks wrong is because i think the way you do it is the middle is the standing sprite and the two sides are the walking sprites the left frame is taking a step with the left foot and the right frame is taking a step with the right foot.

I tried. It's a bit hard to distinguish the differences between the left step and the right step, but they're different.

LOL I JUST FINISHED. Sorry I had to eat dinner and then practice piano and THEN play with my little parakeet and then finish it up. And then I couldn't get it to look right. And now it's finished! I have a lot of trouble spriting half diagonal lines and stuff like that so yeah...

Also you don't mind the collectible thing being cake, right?

The cake will be a lemon cake with cherry filling. This might take a bit, it needs to be visually appealing; also I can't get it to look right geometry

In all seriousness when you finish just post your finished product here. I also think I might make the cake the end of the level and cupcakes what you collect. (But I can make my own sprites for that.)

Rachel when can you get the tileset back to me?

The tileset is still , I don't think anything else has been added besides my cake, which is not finished.
The animation thing is , left step on the left and vice versa
